SUMMER JOBS FOR 14 YEAR OLDS

Teens all over America are now looking for summer jobs. Jobs for 14 year olds are hard to find and teenagers are looking both online and offline for jobs. The youngest you can be to become employed by a real company is 14 and so of course 14 year olds will have the least experience. All employers want experience so how do you ever get any?

14 year olds can get some experience by offering their services to other families in the neighborhood or close by. You can try to get pet sitting jobs, babysitting jobs, tutoring jobs, and lawn care jobs. People hate to weed their gardens so you could provide a service that would promise to keep a person's garden weed free.

One good thing about working on your own like this is that you would most likely be paid cash. You wouldn't have to worry about taxes no matter how much you made. Taxes are something you will have to pay all your life on the money you earn but at 14, it is unlikely you will make enough to have to pay.

The government imposes restrictions on the number of hours you can work per day and the actual times too but this is only during the school year. If you were to find people to pay you for these odd chores then you could work whenever you wanted.

Any summer jobs for 14 year olds should be fun and you shouldn't have to work too hard. If you can find a way to work with a friend it would make your work time more enjoyable. At 14, you should be looking to pick up some extra spending money and have fun while doing it.

Of course if you are lucky and land some sort of a real job like at a fast food restaurant or something, you should be sure to always show up on time and work hard. This would be the first job that would go on your resume so you want to do well.

JOBS FOR 14 YEAR OLDS AND THE ECONOMY

Are you 14 years old and trying to find a job? If you are you might be pretty discouraged because they are very hard to find right now and there aren't that many types of jobs you are allowed to do anyway.

Summer jobs for 14 year olds are difficult to get because you are too young for most employers to hire. Also, right now there are not many jobs anyway and many adults are looking for jobs too. This is something you will understand more as you get older but it is not your fault and there is nothing you can do about it.

Many of your friends might be looking for jobs too and they are probably also having trouble finding them. This year, more teens than ever are looking for summer jobs and many of you have probably seen or heard about the bad economy from your parents. Many parents are worried whether they will be able to keep their jobs and pay the bills. It is pretty much that way all over America and not just in your part of town.

If you can't find a job, are there other skills or talents you have that maybe you can get some money for? Do you know how to pull weeds or mow lawns? Can you babysit or pet sit for your neighbors? These are things you might try doing if you can't find a real job somewhere.

The bad economy is not going to go away this summer and probably not this year. Hopefully by the time next summer comes along in 2010, jobs for 14 year olds will be easier to find. But until then, you will have to try to keep yourself occupied, stay out of trouble, and don't be a pest to your parents.
